Overview of Role
U.S.A. Cost Segregation is seeking a project-based cost estimator with at least five years of experience in cost estimation or construction engineering. We are looking for Cost Estimators/ Engineers who can do a cost analysis on a wide range of newly constructed and existing commercial properties. Estimators will be expected to build detailed reports of construction costs and classify property into corresponding depreciable lives. Our cost segregation reports use the IRS recognized Detailed Engineering Approach from Actual Cost Record and Detailed Engineering Cost Estimate Approach based on the available data. Construction estimation software and software-specific training are provided. This role is fully remote with no travel required.
Qualifications
5 years experience in construction cost estimation, project cost engineering, or commercial property appraising.
Experience in estimating costs for both newly constructed and existing commercial property.
Ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
Familiar with RS Means database
Familiar with Desktop or cloud version of PROEST preferred
Responsibilities
Estimate costs based on relevant available information such as construction documents, blueprints, construction drawings, and contractor payments.
Classify assets into corresponding class lives and determine costs.
Document purchase price allocations between land, land improvements, building, and other assets.
Be able to provide estimates accounting for physical deterioration and other variables.
Support cost estimations with ample documentation and organized reporting
Collaborate with site- inspectors to accurately document all cost estimations
Coordinate with other team members to ensure reports are completed efficiently

Pay: $55,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
